 Food Freight company meeting with villagers

Yesterday, the local community met together to debate a proposal which has implications for all of us. There were many people from the village attending the meeting. They were curious to know what exactly the Food Freiht company wanted. Few had a serious expression while others were smiling excitedly.

Rufus Carmichael, the representative of the Food Freight development company, started the meeting with his offer. He wanted their land, that is open publicly, close to the river. He mentioned that his company would convert this ugly piece of land into a storehouse depot for the villagers. Everyone gave their opinions and Rufus tried convincing them to let the company use it.

After a few minutes, a short break was called up, where all the people could view the company's ideas, plans and even a map structure of the depot on a wallboard in the hall. On the other side, there were a few selected snacks, and drinks on a corner for everyone to show how much they respected our promise for the land.

Soon, we all settled on chairs to continue with the meeting till it came to an end. Journalist Anuja remarked 'You and your company want to bribe our fellow villagers into a promise.' Another man from the crowd stood and said that he spoke to the famous local Dr. Misha yesterday, and she advised that they need a hospital, where the operations could take place properly.

The community's leading member Rufus rose by saying that the land near the river is already an ugly place, and no one will dare to use it, so please let the company use it. If we clean this area, it will keep this town a pleasant place. He was interrupted by Anuja, she spoke about the nests on the trees, which are useful for the hibernating beautiful red-footed falcons and other rare birds. if you cut the trees, these rare species will disappear, which is what this town is famous for. This land belongs to our ancestors.

Rufus continued and tried to offer another proposal by scamming our beliefs. The town's market will overflow with the company's production. It will give everyone a handful of opportunities to work in this warehouse. After they sweep this land, maybe they could open a medical centre for all.

Everybody started gossiping and whispering with excited comments. Anuja's mouth broke out and she began with 'Remember the time when your parents told you, if those trees die the settlement will fall into a decline situation.' Her voice was strengthened when the people beside her were conscious about the benefits and they all declined his offer. Rufus's face was tightened with anger. He even tried to speak while they were discussing, 'My company is stronger than all of you. We will get our way.' This was how the meeting ended.

If this land were shared with this company, our trust would disappear and would never prefer a big or small company to make changes to our ancestor's townland.
