It was a tranquil midnight, the kind that envelops everything in a shroud of silence. I was deep in slumber when a sudden, thunderous blast shattered the calm. My heart pounded in my chest. My parents were away, and I was spending the night with my uncle Narender, a gentle soul who was blissfully deaf to the world around him.
While fear gripped me, a stronger current of curiosity surged. Something unusual was happening outside, in the garden. Without hesitation, I snatched my flashlight and tiptoed into the cool night. Until that moment, I had always been timid, afraid of shadows and the unknown. But on that fateful night, courage unexpectedly surged within me.
What I saw left me breathless. UFOs floated in the clear night sky, firing brilliant beams of light toward the Earth. The air vibrated with an otherworldly energy, and my heart raced with terror. I called out for help, but our isolated hilltop home offered no solace; no one could hear my cries. Then, a robotic voice boomed from one of the crafts:
“Dear Earth,
We are the aliens from Planet Kwicha. We have come to take over your world. Goodbye to all humans.”
As the chilling message ended, an eerie silence enveloped me. I sprinted back inside, heart racing. My uncle lay motionless on his bed, his skin faintly singed, as if touched by some unseen force. Panic gripped me; I feared I had lost him. Alone and terrified, I steeled myself for the worst.
Suddenly, a dazzling light flooded the house, pure and radiant, illuminating every corner. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. The UFOs vanished as if they had never been, leaving behind only the haunting echo of their threat. Overwhelmed, I collapsed, darkness closing in around me.
When I finally opened my eyes, the sun streamed through the window, bathing the room in warmth. To my disbelief, my uncle was in the kitchen, humming softly as he brewed coffee, completely oblivious to the horrors of the night before. The garden appeared untouched, and the sky was a deep blue, serene and peaceful.
Had it all been a dream? Or had the night’s mystery merely cloaked itself, lying in wait for another evening to unfold? As I pondered the enigma, one thing remained clear: I would never look at the night sky the same way again.
