Direct Proportion
- Two quantities are said to be in direct proportion if an increase in one results in an increase in the other.
- In direct proportion, the ratio of the two measurable quantities remains constant.
Inverse Proportion
- Two quantities (a) and (b) are said to be in inverse proportion if an increase in one results in a decrease in the other.
- This happens in such a way that the product of their corresponding values remains constant.
