Review: English Coursebook
Our Rustomjee School has been using an English Coursebook for pupils to study the portion. Here is a detailed view of the book.
There are tips provided on how to write essays well. The grammar is explained through the demonstrations of using ideas. The vocabulary used is high and allows the students to grasp new words.
However, a few of the topics are already out of the syllabus. Not all topics are interesting, which loses students' attention (motivation) from reading them. It has many spelling and grammatical errors making the book unprofessional. There is no glossary for the meaning of the terms in the book and hence you have to depend on internet for the meanings.
This book is highly suitable for kid readers for advanced English. Yet the book requires some upgrades to be user-friendly for students with basic English. Considering this is the final version of the book, I would rate it 3 out of 5.
