My dad planned to gift himself special. He required our help to do so. He wanted to go on a bicycle ride in a notorious forest. He wanted to record it for him and then later edit it and showcase entertainment to the whole family. Eventually, he wanted to prove to me that his age does not require him to match the physical fitness to complete such rides. Well...I think we could have celebrated my dad's fiftieth birthday normally with gifts, a party, and a cake cutting. But he still wanted to do an adventure. An adventure is easy for normal people, who have great immunity. But when my dad wouldn't do it, it would be a big risk for us. We could lose him on his birthday.
It was a sunny day. My dad's friend joined us and he was driving the car for us. I had to carry a mobile phone to capture the entire event. The roads sometimes were inclined, steeper and filled with gravel. The var was behind the bicycle. He was exhausted, and sweaty.
My dad was happy. He was so vowed that he kept his mouth open till the video was over. He was proud of me. He liked that I shot the whole event so nicely and the edits were so perfect that he thought he was watching a film. He proudly told me that one day would come when I would be a film editor. He was so happy that he continuously told me "I am so proud to have you around. You are a great artist that I have given birth to." Later in the day, he kissed my cheeks. It was the best day.
