Many people around the world do not have access to clean and safe drinking water. Those who are on the move or living in remote areas have to spend their time searching for water that is safe for consumption. Lack of clean water may lead to the spread of various diseases, which can prove fatal. To overcome this problem, many village governments have allowed villagers to dig wells and use the water. Whereas, in cities, water pipes conduct fresh water from underground sources. Water Aid is a charitable organization that works towards providing clean drinking water to people who do not have access to it. The charity receives donations from individuals, companies, governments, and organizations worldwide, who have committed to helping others access drinkable water.
