Letter on reserving seat on first tourist space flights.

Dear Shraddha,

Recently India has launched Chandaryaan - 3 into space. We are aware of the immense importance of space travel. Today, space travel has gained great momentum. The spaceship is launched from Sriharikota due to the tireless efforts of a team of scientists who worked throughout the day, to see that the spaceship is flawless.

Currently, one of the most exciting space facilities in the world is the Second World War hangar in the Mojave desert, in California which is building rocket planes to fly tourists. Other companies are also building similar hangars. Flying by space rockets is rather expensive today. So engineers are working hard to develop space planes that can be utilized to reach orbit many times, on the other hand, scientists are collaborating with space tourism companies to reduce flight times between cities by planes. This could make flying economical. In this case, space travel lovers would be able to fly. There are some people, who prefer not to blow up huge sums of money on such space tourism instead they feel that the amount spent should be for the welfare of the downtrodden. Though to space lovers the Earth looks beautiful like a blue marble yet to others it seems that the Earth has a fragile layer of the atmosphere, to protect it.

I feel that travelling in space is not worthwhile as the huge sums of money are unnecessarily wasted instead it could be utilised and donated to old-age homes and orphanages; where we can help touching the lives of the needy. Space travel could be dangerous as the space rockets could cause a blaze of fire. I feel it would be food if people would discover their region rather than going into space, as the majority of the population cannot afford the expensive space rocket travel. Hence, I wouldn't consider going to space travel.

Your loved one,
Yashvi Gavankar
