My dear,
It is some time since I have been able to write to you. As you were out of town, the day I left. I would like to inform you that I'm on an expedition to find gold. It's been a quite difficult journey.
Cracked pavement; the roads were narrow only one car could pass at a time. The sharp turns were creepy. Horses carried a burden during the heavy rains. The climate was sometimes rainy while most of the time it was the blazing sun. I was impatient to find gold. But soon due to the long hours of search, I was home sick.
Most of the issues were food supply issues, there was a shortage of food; and we couldn't even harvest crops on the barren land. It was a male-dominated region, which meant only men would do mining and a handful of women would stay. We were exposed to heat for a longer time, making ourselves exhausted. There were regular fights amongst the people. The flood water erased the tracks, we were headed to. My fate kept telling me that I wouldn't find gold.
Finally, I've found gold! We've become rich, dear! We can purchase land. We can settle somewhere in between nature, This land is scary to stay in as it is a disputed land. There will be challenges for me here as everybody knows that gold is found here. I'll try to bring all the gold to our home. I would love to complete all your pending dreams. I will be back home soon and remember that I have always loved you and will continue to love you!
