Summary of people living on the Africa Mercy ship.

The ship is home to over 450 crew members, also known as staff, who work tirelessly to provide assistance to the people living on board. The young residents of the ship range in age from 1 to 18 years old. The staff members come from 40 different nations and work in shifts throughout the week, without receiving proper salaries. Despite the lack of financial benefits, they are provided with all the necessary equipment required to work on the ship. The ship has a ward where almost 27 patients are admitted, and unfortunately, there is not much privacy for them. However, a few kind-hearted nurses have put up curtains to give them some sense of privacy. The kids on the ship receive education, and patients are treated for free, which is a great relief for many people. It is astounding to know that over 7,000 operations have been performed on this ship, making it a beacon of hope for many people. Forming bonds with others on the ship is a significant challenge, but the staff and patients do their best to create a sense of family. It is heartwarming to see the staff members going above and beyond to make the people feel at home. Patients are often quarantined for weeks to ensure their safety and the safety of others. It is admirable to see the dedication and commitment of the staff towards the people living on the ship.
