Lyuba is a baby mammoth who is only one month old. She is one of the few mammoths that have ever been found, and her remains were discovered by chance. The person who found her did not sell her remains so that scientists could study them. The scientists were hoping to learn more about her origins, the secrets hidden in her DNA, what she can tell us about the Ice Age, and how she died. To do this, they conducted experiments such as high-tech bone scans, tissue extraction, and dental examinations. The scientists said that if Lyuba were alive today, they would have been able to question her directly and allow her to share her story with them.
