Mobile phone photography – Selfie Mania

16th November, 2022                                                                                                   By Yashvi Gavankar

Most people worldwide have the madness to take their selfies to a new level. Uploading these selfies on social media platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook allows them to gain followers and popularity on the social media platforms. You may know that some people receive their income from the people supporting an artist with lots of likes on a picture uploaded by the artist. The number of perfect selfies every year.

Adults who are obsessed with filters of Snapchat, take a dangerous step towards surgeries such as plastic or body transformation in order to have Snapchat filters in their real life as well as social life. There is a mental disorder for the filters known as Snapchat dysmorphia, selfitis and anorexia.

Life risk takers flock towards the cliff edges to take mobile photography at a height to share it with their friends, family and fans on social media platforms. Selfie acts as proof to others when you share photos of yourself with the scenery, standing on the cliff edges violently.

Taking a perfect selfie will satisfy your ego and make you very proud of what you have accomplished. The motivations that you receive from selfies are as follows:

1)      To feel popularity towards yourself.

2)      Addiction to social life and selfies

3)      Creates self-confidence to engage in the behaviour of selfies

4)      You get into a competition with other models or celebrities to get more likes than anyone in the world.

5)      To show off your memories or trophies on the internet.

6)      Trying to copy the trend done by others.

In my opinion, selfies can be dangerous and calm to gain fame worldwide. A person may be dragged into mental disorders during a selfie. Narcissism is directly connected to the ego. Curiosity and leisure can be an unhealthy obsession.
