PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network)  

- Refers to all interconnected telephone networks.  

- Channel: Established between two endpoints for the duration of a call via circuit switching.  

- Resilience: Lines remain active even during a power outage.  

- Communication: Supports bi‑directional transmission.
