 Pros and Cons of Self-esteem Movement

Recently, the most common topic on social media is self-esteem, the feeling of wellness, whether you are worth it or not. Today, we will cover this topic in detail.

Punishment can discourage children's beliefs and will only lead to conflicts in the family, which doesn't lead to a positive outcome. It damages the children and makes them feel that everything they do is unsuccessful. Competition in schools, it creates an environment in children's minds where they can try harder. Few of them, are winners in sports, music or any other curriculum activities; those who lose, they make themselves losers for their entire life. Their personal relationships suffer when they choose to be losers. This leads to frustration and depression due to a lack of confidence and very little self-pride. Parents' and teachers job is to create a positive feeling in kid's life, which will allow them to achieve their goals as well as confidence.

What will punishments do to the children? With the help of punishments, the child will prefer to lie to their families. They will be afraid to face their parents if they are strict. Everyone has god-gifted talent and needs to be competitive and receive knockbacks to be developed. Parents can turn their children from doing what they are good at and don't let their children pursue their dreams. Doing continuous homework can damage their leisure and social life. They end up being bullies if their parents put rules on them from the moment they were born. Instead of receiving kindness, they receive torture.

A child should not always be praised. They will never learn to accept manners, and rules to have cool behaviour in themselves. If the praise or criticism causes the child to have an inflated view of fulfilling its impossible dreams will lead to worse things such as disappointment and humiliation. The self-obsessed children. unmotivated and irresponsible, can't respect responsible adults, and senior citizens and end up bullying others.

In my opinion, children shouldn't be punished always. They should be only punished when they learn and do something wrong from others. Otherwise, as a parent, it's their job to support their ideas and fulfil their dreams so that they can turn out to be a very successful person in their life.
